Hohenbergia stellata
Verzamel locatie: China - Shanghai - Chenshan Botanical Garden

Opmerking: These three plants should be Hohenbergia stellata, right? But the center one with different origins looks quite different to the ones beside it, it’s pink in color and the others are red, it’s leaves are also different in color and texture, grey green compare to green, and harder than the other two. Could anyone tell me the story behind it? Many thanks. (Verzonden: brom-l@science.uu.nl)

  • Opmerking: Graeme Barclay (2019-05-14) - HI Li Ping, there is a clone around known as stellata 'Pink' that is in Australia and probably USA. I don't know it's origin though sorry, we only have the red clone in NZ.
  • Opmerking: Ping Li (2019-05-15) - Many thanks, Graeme. My pink ones were from USA. The red one is more popular I think. H. stellata has relatively wide habitats, I guess there should be different types probably.
