Comments:

• Endemic.
  A population from Serra Pirapucu in Amazonas, Brazil, appears to be closely related to N. crispa, but has much broader leaves. Navia sp. C from Cerro Yutaje may represent a higher altitude, smaller statured variety of this species. See also comments under N. filifera. and N. polyglomerata. —See Smith & Steyermark 1989
