Distribution: BRAZIL: São Paulo

Habitat: epiphytic or sometimes terrestrial in the Atlantic Forest sierra, 1700-1770 m. Elev.

Etymology: The specific epithet we propose refers to the locality where the species occurs, the highlands of Serra da Bocaina.
