Distribution: BRAZIL: Bahia

Habitat: Terrestrial in in forest areas in transition area between Atlantic Forest and Caatinga, 780 - 900 m. Elev.

Etymology: The specific epithet ‘brevibracteatus’ refers to the shorter floral bracts compared to the other species of the genus

Phenology: Flowers in nature in October.
