Distribution: MÉXICO: Jalisco

Habitat: epiphyte in lowland oak to subtropical forest on the Pacific coast, 390-1640 m. Elev.

Etymology: The species honors Ana Teresa Nuño Rubio, an enthusiastic botanical explorer, and to El Tuito region. The Tuito word is a degeneration of the word Teotl=god, Tiul=Tuitlán: place of the God or divine place or place of beauty. An area of high biodiversity and endemism in western Mexico.
