Distribution: Colombia: Cundinamarca, Meta

Habitat: terrestrial in shaded and humid areas of high elevation Andean forests, 3125−3500 m. Elev.

Etymology: The specific epithet honors the Chingaza National Natural Park, a protected area that preserves large extensions of cloud forest and páramo vegetation, which are critical for supplying water to the city of Bogotá (Betancur et al. 2018)
