Distribution: VENEZUELA; Amazonas (Cerro Duida, Cerro Marahuaka).

Habitat: Rocky banks of streams, 1100-1400 m. Elev.

Etymology: glabrior= glabrous, the contrast to the type variety which is cinereous lepidote abaxially on the leaf blade
