Distribution: BRAZIL. Mato Grosso

Habitat: saxicolous on sandstone rock outcrops and rock walls along rivers and near waterfalls, within the humid forest, in the region, 500–640 m. Elev.

Etymology: The name of this species honors its collector, the Brazilian botanist, Paulo Gunter Windisch, specialist in ferns and lycophytes.
