Distribution: BRAZIL; Para,

Etymology: The specific epithet refers to the aspect of the plant, multi-leaved with leaves up to 80cm long and no more than 4mm wide, pendant, with revolute margins, giving a capillary form to the blades, reminding of a bundle of hairs.
