Distribution: Mexico: Yucatan peninsula

Habitat: epiphyte or terrestrial on forested limestone formations, ca. 0 m. Elev.

Etymology: The specific epithet indicates that this is the only species of the Caribbean-endemic Wittmackia that occurs in Mesoamerica.

Phenology: flower from February to March
