Distribution: BRAZIL: Rrio de Janeiro

Habitat: Epiphyte in the lowland Atlantic Forest, ca. 25 m. Elev.

Etymology: The name of this new species is a explicit reference to the county of Parati, in the south region of Rio de Janeiro State, where it was discovered.
