Habitat: Terrestrially in humid Atlantic Forest fragments

Etymology: The name of Hohenbergia reconcavensis is a reference to the large region known as “Recôncavo Baiano”, which surrounds Baía de Todos os Santos, where this new species was found near the city of Santo Amaro.
