Distribution: North and Central Chile

Habitat: Grows in stony, arid habitats, 0-2200 m. Elev.

Etymology: This species is named in honor of the german-born botanist and specialist of the Chilean flora Otto Zöllner (1909–2007).

Phenology: Flowering between October and December
