Distribution: Brazil: Mato Grosso do Sul

Habitat: saxicolous on calcareous formation inside humid forest along rivers and near waterfalls, 200–400 m. Elev.

Etymology: The epithet refers to the county of Bodoquena, in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, where this new taxon was discovered.
